WEIRTON, WV - The Hancock County health Department confirms for 7 News the bird was found on Weirton Heights.
Officials are asking that anyone who sees a dead bird to call the Hancock County health department at 304-564-3343 .
The West Nile Virus is a potentially dangerous viral disease which is typically spread through mosquitoes.
Symptoms often include fever, headache, nausea ,vomiting and
confusion.
