WHEELING - An Ohio County convicted murderer's appeal was unanimously refused by the West Virginia State Supreme Court of Appeals Jan. 26.

The Supreme Court heard motions in the Jeffrey Woods case.

He's the man who was found guilty on three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Bernie and Debra Coniff and her son, Jonathon Noon.

The three were found murdered in their Triadelphia home in April 2004.

Woods appealed the convictions claiming improper search and seizure, biased jurors and cruel and unusual punishment.
