WHEELING -
The Ohio Valley saw up to 20 inches of snowfall last week. The clean-up after the storm is not cheap.
"Between overtime, additional materials used, maintenance work, we are right around $50,000 for the last week," says city operations manager Rusty Jebbia.
The city does have an overtime budget, but the amount will most likely surpass that.
"There is a line item for that, but I've really got to talk to the city manager to see how out of line we are," says Jebbia.
However, the city isn't out of the woods just yet.
Chief Meteorologist Dr. Dave Walker is predicting light but steady snow for the next couple days.
Jebbia says the city is well prepared.
The city placed an order for supplies and they came this week.
"We just received an additional 300 tons of salt, we also received our cinder order this week," says Jebbia. "So from that standpoint, we're in great shape for anything else that is coming."
