(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - Fans of shock-rocker Marilyn Manson may be a bit shocked by his new look. If anything, he is looking very "All-American."
That's the word from Interview magazine, which reported Manson's new style is inspired by HBO's "Eastbound and Down." See a photo of Manson with his new look .
The magazine featured a photo of Manson dressed up in a baseball cap and jersey similar to that worn the character Kenny Powers, a washed up, overweight, former baseball star played by Danny McBride.
Co-director David Gordon Green said Manson is obsessed with the show.
"Whenever I see Manson, he's repeating entire chunks of dialogue and dressed like Kenny," said director Adam Bhala Lough, who is also directing Manson in the movie "Splatter Sisters."
Yahoo! Music said the outfit is a departure from the heavy white makeup, black-rimmed eyes and red lips usually worn by Manson, who is actually 41-year-old Brian Warner.
Manson's other recent persona is "Lars," the leader of a death metal band that he plays in the gory, road-trip, slasher film "Splatter Sisters," MTV News reported.
Interview said Manson's on-and-off again fiancée Evan Rachel Wood will also star in the film.
People.com reported that Manson and Wood recently broke off their engagement. The couple had started dating in 2006 but broke up in 2008. They got back together and broke up again before Manson proposed to Wood in January.
