(Canvas Staff Reports) - A 7-year-old North Texas girl, who lost her mother to cancer in 2008, remembers her in a very personal way by singing the gospel music she loved. Now that talent is taking people by storm.

Rhema Marvanne started singing when she started talking, according to her website . Her first song, a rendition of "Amazing Grace," has become a viral hit.

Her inspiration comes from the memory of her mother, Wendi Marvanne Voraritskul, who died of ovarian cancer and was also a gospel singer.

Rhema has been on The Maury Povich Show's Most Talented Kids 2010, recorded in Nashville with gospel artist Gary Chapman, created her first music video and already has songs sold on iTunes and Amazon.com.

Rhema has recorded "The Prayer" with singer Terry White and musicians from the Nashville Symphony and is also working on a Christmas album.

Yahoo! Music reported that Rhema taped a scene in Gerald Butler's film "Machine Gun Preacher." Butler's character is a drug dealer-turned-crusader who's on a mission to save children.

"During his baptism, Rhema is actually singing 'Amazing Grace' at that pillar moment [Butler] goes from a bad guy to a good guy and then goes to South Africa to save all the little kids from the war," said Teton Voaritskul, Rhema's father.

Rhema told Yahoo! Music, "It felt great. It felt like God is really proud of me and he's smiling right at me."

According to Yahoo!, YouTube videos of Rhema singing "Amazing Grace," "O Holy Night," Celine Dion's "The Prayer" and Whitney Houston's "I Love The Lord" have generated more than a million streams.

Rhema also sang as part of the "A Season of Hope" benefit concert held for Sidney Health Center's new cancer center in Sidney, Mont.

"God gave her a beautiful heart and the voice of an angel," her father said on her biography. "Most people that hear her sing can not deny that God does speak through a child. Her voice touches people's hearts."
